Peace Point Rights appointed sales agent for selected programming from Muse Entertainment in certain territories commencing with Played and JFK: The Smoking Gun

Toronto, Canada – August  13, 2013 – Peace Point Rights and Muse Distribution International have entered an agreement that will see Peace Point representing content from Muse Entertainment’s extensive catalogue in selected territories.  The first shows are the scripted procedural drama Played (13 x 60’) and the feature length documentary JFK: The Smoking Gun (1×90’ and 1×60’). Both will be represented by Peace Point in Latin America, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.

“Muse Entertainment has a stellar reputation as one the industry’s finest producers and we look forward to working with them on these and many more exceptional titles,” said Les Tomlin, president, Peace Point Entertainment.

“Muse Distribution is delighted to be joining forces with Les Tomlin and his Peace Point Rights team in bringing to certain markets our prime time police procedural Played which will be aired this October on CTV in Canada and our highly anticipated JFK: The Smoking Gun which will be aired this November on Discovery Channel Canada, SBS in Australia and Reelz Channel in the U.S.,” said Michael Prupas, president, Muse Entertainment .

Played, produced by Muse Entertainment and Back Alley Film Productions, is an ensemble procedural police drama that follows the activities of the CIU (Covert Investigations Unit), a police unit that goes undercover to infiltrate criminal organizations. In each episode, the detectives perform a high-wire, nerve-wracking act that requires a serious confidence game as they go undercover and convince the bad guys that, they too, are criminals – all the while trying to prevent their jobs from corroding their own lives.

JFK: The Smoking Gun is a special investigative documentary produced by Muse Entertainment and Cordell/Jigsaw/Zapruder, based on the work of Veteran Police Detective Colin McLaren who spent four years on the forensic cold case investigation of John F. Kennedy’s assassination. What he had, and other investigators did not, was modern technology and access to all the evidence, facts and eye-witness testimony. He managed to solve a crime that is every bit as shocking and incredible today as it was when it happened 50 years ago. A far cry from the fanciful conspiracy theories that surround the world’s most famous assassination, his case is methodically constructed from simple logic and available evidence using time-tested investigative techniques to solve the crime.
