LONDON – NOVEMBER 20, 2013: Scripps Networks International, the leading global developers and broadcasters of lifestyle programming, announces today it has acquired a trio of programmes from Canadian distributor Peace Point Rights for Food Network UK, Eire and Poland, and for Fine Living across EMEA. All series will broadcast in the first half of 2014.
The first acquisition follows the recent success of hit food series Fresh with Anna Olson Seasons 1-3 (65×30’) on Food Network. Olson is one Food Network’s top ‘in the kitchen’ chefs and the series outperformed the daytime average for the channel by ten percent. Given the programme’s strong following thus far, the first three series have been signed for an extended run in the UK, Eire and Poland. The series sees renowned pastry chef Anna Olson inviting viewers into the comfort of her home where she creates unique scrumptious meals using the mantra ‘eat fresh, eat local.’ Moreover, in the last 12 months Anna Olson has been the most popular chef across foodnetwork.co.uk with her video and recipe content generating nearly 1 million page views.
Additionally, Bake with Anna Olson (20×30’) season 1 has been acquired for Food Network in Poland as a new edition to the schedule after its ratings success and popularity in the UK. The series follows Anna as she takes viewers into her delectable world of baking showcasing everything from muffins to meringue and cream cakes to croissants.
Lastly, Fine Living has acquired popular bridal show Keasha’s Perfect Dress (14×30’) across EMEA. Celebratedbridal consultant Keasha Rigsby opens her own exclusive bridal boutique taking viewers inside the bustling salon where brides have big dreams, high hopes and big decisions on finding the prefect dress for their perfect day.
